Suomi k\u00e4vi kuitenkin neuvotteluja Saksan kanssa mahdollisen konfliktin varalta. Vihdoin toukokuun lopulla Saksa ilmoitti, ett\u00e4 sodan mahdollisuus selvi\u00e4isi kes\u00e4kuun puoliv\u00e4liin menness\u00e4. Samalla sovittiin Saksan ja Suomen yhteistoiminnasta.<\/p>\n<p>Tilanteen kehitys johti kes\u00e4ll\u00e4 1941 siihen, ett\u00e4 Suomen puolustusvoimat saatettiin asteittain sodan vahvuuteen. K\u00e4sky yleisest\u00e4 liikekannallepanosta annettiin 17.6.1941 ja joukkojen tuli siirty\u00e4 suunnitelluille toiminta-alueilleen 25.6. menness\u00e4.
